BETHLEHEM BLOCK CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2019 Barossa, South Australia |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
SISTER'S RUN |
Always very popular - ripe, juicy, and ready-to-drink. Very deep intense purple colour. Gently spicy, cedary, intense, ripe, cassis-raspberry-plum-cherry purée nose with some faint mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, tangy, quite well structured, rather spicy, juicy, ripe, plummy-crancherry purée flavours with a lingering, very bright, gently cedary, very faintly savoury finish. This crowd-pleaser is ready to drink and would be big hit at a bbq. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2202 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: Unctuous blackberry fruit leads the charge here with hints of blackcurrant jelly, blackstrap licorice, dark chocolate, cedar, oak spice and a blast of choc-mint on the back end. There's oodles of black-fruited entertainment here; it's supple and ripe, the tannins are superfine, sinking way back into the fruit and it flows nicely across the tongue. Good-value drinking. Drink by: 2028. Special Value. Score - 92 (Dave Brookes, winecompanion.com.au, March 3, 2022) |
