LES VOISIN ANDERSON VALLEY PINOT NOIR 2017 Anderson Valley, Mendocino |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
COPAIN |
This new 2017 Pinot Noir has a fairly deep intense purple colour. The ripe, fresh, raspberry-crancherry-blueberry fruit on the nose is balanced by some refined gently toasty oak. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied and quite well structured, the faintly smoky, fresh, ripe, raspberry-Damson-plum-crancherry fruit flavours are followed up by a bright, lingering, elegant finish with a touch of cedar. It’s perfect now and has 13.2% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar and was aged for 16 months in classic French oak (only 10% new). The lot number 20190115 appears on the back label. The preferred recommended 2016 (***/***+) was released on October 30, 2021 at $54.95. |
