CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2019 Vegan, McLaren Vale, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MONTERRA
Extremely deep intense purple red colour. Slightly spicy, gently cedary, very faintly herbaceous, intense, very bright, ripe, refined, plummy-black-cherry purée nose with some gently cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, somewhat spicy, tangy, very attractive, ripe, plum-cherry-cranberry-cassis flavours with a lingering, high acid, fairly cedary, sandalwood-tinged finish. Great mouthfeel. This has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2168 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. CSPC 12835

TASTING NOTE: Gorgeously composed and engaging with cassis, sweet cherry, subtle tobacco and spicy oak aromas, it's concentrated and finely textured on the palate delivering excellent weight and presence. Wonderfully harmonious with beautifully pitched tannins, making it robust and structured. At its best: now to 2034. Score - 94 (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, Aug. 2022) Price $ 19.95
