CÔTES DU RHÔNE 2020 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer HALOS DE JUPITER
This is the 15th Vintages release over the past decade. It has a fairly deep purple colour with a rather spicy, juicy, ripe plum purée nose with a touch of cassis-tinged cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, gently spicy, attractive, ripe, plummy, black cherry puree flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, cedar-vanilla-driven finish. This juicy, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser has 15% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar. This tasty blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah has lot number L2136B2 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 276956

TASTING NOTE: More blue fruits, violets, and cracked pepper emerge from the 2020 Côtes du Rhône, a medium to full-bodied blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and the rest Syrah. I love its balance, and it has ripe tannins, with the more pure, vibrant style of the vintage front and center. Score - 90-92 (jebdunnuck.com, Nov. 3, 2021) Price $ 19.95
