Pinot Noir 2019 Rogue Valley, Willamette Valley |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Rock Point |
This Oregon Rouge River Pinot Noir is an easy-going crowd-pleaser is ready for casual sipping anytime, anywhere and with anything. You don’t need a fancy Riedel glass for this tasty red which is produced by Del Dio Vineyards on their 460 acres of vineyards. Medium red with an amber edge, it has a very pleasant, ripe, strawberry-tinged, very faintly smoky, ripe, plum-crancherry nose. Dry, medium bodied and harmonious, the gently tangy, ripe, black-cherry-plum-strawberry fruit flavours finish up with a bright, crisp finish. Drink now - perhaps with BBQ salmon. It has 13.9% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 200603 on the back label tag and L21MAR3 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

TASTING NOTE: Crunchy dried leaf, iron and earth set the aromatic stage for this nicely composed pinot noir with a wealth of complexity. Brimming with characteristic pinot noir flavour. Not a shy wine with a great deal of personality. Lightly peppery, pleasantly rustic and authentic. Featuring very good length. Excellent value. Tasted March 2021. Score - 91 (Sara d'Amato, winealign.com) |
