Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020 Vegan, unfiltered, VQA Prince Edward County
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Closson Chase
Medium deep garnet colour. Attractive, bright, ripe, plum-cherry purée nose with some gently complex, minerally, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, very nicely structured and well balanced, with bright, ripe plum-crancherry flavours nd a lingering, very gently cedary, raspberry-tinged finish. Quite ready-to-drink but will still improve. Labeled as 12.5%, this unfiltered 100% PEC Pinot Noir actually has 13.2% and less than 2 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure and under 600 cases produced. This 8th Vintages release is the best that I have tasted to date CSPC 145888

TASTING NOTE: This Pinot is sourced mostly from the Churchside Vineyard, with 20% of the fruit coming from the South Clos site. It's an elegant, perfumed, lithe, energetic, deceptively powerful County Pinot, with ample floral and fruity tones atop smoke, underbrush and savoury herbs. The heat and quality of the 2020 season shows through in the balance and weight here. Enjoy for 5+ years. Price $ 36.00
Bottle Size 750 mL
