| This 2019 Pinotage has a fairly deep purple colour. The nose is rather spicy, earthy and complex with intense, baked, plum-black-cherry-raspberry fruit and some sandalwood-mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied and nicely structured with spicy, bright, plum-black-cherry-cassis flavours along with a lingering, cedary, fairly high-acid, somewhat earthy, grippy finish. Aged for 12 months in French oak and has 14.4% alcohol and 2.5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L20342 on the back label and 16320 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Perfect when served in a large #1 Riedel glass. |
