LOLA CABERNET FRANC ROSÉ 2020 Sustainable, VQA South Islands, Lake Erie North Shore
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer PELEE ISLAND
A second REPEAT of the recommended 2020 (**/**+) that was last released on September 18, 2021 at $15.95. Here is my previous note. This crowd-pleaser has a bright light reddish pink colour. The nose shows fresh, gently juicy, ripe, red-apple-watermelon-crancherry fruit. It’s just off-dry and medium bodied with crisp, slightly honeyed, crancherry flavours followed up by a harmonious, spicy, gently lifted finish. This Cabernet Franc has 12% alcohol and 5.3 g/L residual sugar (11 g/L residual sugar according to the LCBO website) with lot number Mar.1621 on the back label and a screwcap closure CSPC 552497
