PETRA |
Fairly deep intense purple colour. Spicy, juicy, ripe, plum-black-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, rather juicy, spicy, ripe, plummy-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, bright, attractive, cedary finish. A ready-to-drink, well-made, crowd-pleaser. This blend of 25% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese, 25% Petit Verdot and 25% Syrah has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2014 on the back label. It’s the best to date - riper than the 2017 with 88-points that was released on September 19, 2020 at $19.95. |

TASTING NOTE: A fresh, vivid red with cherries, currants and hints of hazelnuts and chocolate. Medium body. Racy finish. Like the vivid acidity that runs through this. Drink or hold. Score - 92 (jamessuckling.com, July 28, 2020) |
