BEST'S |
This was originally to be released on Nov. 13th. I was unable to get a bottle for assessment from the agent. However, my associate Tony Aspler did get a sample in early October 2021 and passed it on to me after rating it as follows: Dark ruby colour; spicy, blackberry and pepper nose with toasty oak and a leafy-floral note; medium to full-bodied, savoury black fruit flavours well-balanced with acidity. I concur and rated it one point lower. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1719 on the back label. I do not know if this the same batch that was at the LCBO on January 8 so my score is tentative. |
