SVELATO FALANGHINA DEL SANNIO 2015 DOP
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TERRE STREGATE
Bright medium straw colour. Intense, very spicy, cantalope-yellow-grapefruit nose with some gently complex, faintly toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, mouthfilling, very slightly spicy, ripe yellow grapefruit flavours with a fairly rich, complex, mineral-tinged, unoaked finish. An excellent, very well-priced example of Falanghina del Sannio with 13% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 90-points / BEST BUY - Spicy, pine needle and citrus nose; medium-bodied, dry, well-balanced and fresh on the palate with spicy, lemon and melon flavours ending on a note of green nuts. TASTING NOTE: TASTING NOTE: Sourced from calcium-rich soils located at between 400-450 m above sea level, this is a characteristically fresh and vibrant Falanghina Del Sannio. Floral and crisp with citrus and nutty tones, plus an intriguing underlying suggestion of hickory. Enjoy with grilled shrimp.
