CHARDONNAY 2023 Santa Barbara County
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TYLER
Here is an elegant and yet quietly powerful, extremely well-made Santa Barbara Chardonnay that will appeal to discerning new world fans as well as to classic Burgundy devotees. The reason is the use of ripe (but not overripe) grapes along with just the right amount of perfectly air-dried premium French oak. Bright pale straw colour with an intense, bright, minerally, lemon-pear-apple nose with gently toasty, brioche notes. Dry, medium bodied, intense, bright, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with good mouthfeel balanced by excellent acidity and elegant gently toasty notes on the lingering finish. Shades of Meursault, it has 12.8% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 27240990 on the back label. CSPC 28952
