MCMANIS PETITE SIRAH 2022 Sustainable, estate grown, Lodi |

In 2020 after 30 years the LCBO suspended all preview Vintages tastings for accredited wine writers. Last year previews were reinstated for store consultants BUT wine writers were no longed allowed to attend. The LCBO's reply to a request for reinstatement said that we should get samples from producers and wine agents. It states that that our unpaid-for independent reviews no longer “best serve our (LCBO) customers.” Unable to taste. |

TASTING NOTE: Dedicated to sustainable viticulture, McManis is a driving force in California's growing trend of farming with the future in focus. This Petite Sirah offers plump notes of blueberry and plum while holding a firm backbone of savoury smoked meat character and hints of dark chocolate from oak ageing. |
