JULIA'S VINEYARD PINOT NOIR 2021 Sustainable, Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CAMBRIA
This very tasty 2021 has a medium-deep red colour. Attractive, gently complex, elegant, sage-lavender-sandalwood-tinged nose with ripe plums, cassis and crancherry notes. Dry, medium bodied, fairly intense, bright, ripe, red-cherry-plum-pomegranate flavours along with faintly savoury hints of sage, thyme and red licorice followed up by a lingering, gently cedary, harmonious finish. Aged for 7 months in 100% French oak (18% new) with malolactic fermentation completed in barrel, it has 13.9% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Limited availability - now in only 42 stores but more coming. The lot number 20230217 is on the back label and 23026 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 980482

TASTING NOTE: Tart and fresh aromas of red plum, strawberry and lightly toasted sage and marjoram draw the nose into this zesty, widely available bottling. The palate lands with pleasantly brisk cran-pom-raspberry flavors, as lavender and rose petal qualities add nuance. Editors' Choice.
