TASTING NOTE: Lodi has become famous for its Zinfandel, but there's much more going on here. Petite Sirah is often used to add colour and structure to Zin, and as demonstrated here, it makes a fine single varietal as well. This one has a plush texture, with complex dark fruit and a touch of spice. A wine for barbecued beef. (Vintages panel, Oct. 2019) |
