SATELLITE PINOT NOIR 2015 Certified sustainable, Marlborough, South Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SPY VALLEY
A Pinot Noir not to be missed! Fairly deep ruby red colour. Very attractive, intense, plummy, ripe black cherry purée nose with some some gently smoky notes. Dry medium bodied, rounded, slightly spicy, ripe, cherry jubilee flavours with along, lingering, bright, harmonious and yet still gently grippy, cedar-tinged finish. This remarkably delicious, ready-to-drink, nicely structured, 2015 Marlborough Pinot Noir was bottled over two years ago (see with lot number L18037 on the back label). Thank God for the screwcap! It has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 12627

TASTING NOTE: Sweetly fruited and fragrant, the bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, floral, thyme and toasted almond characters. It is equally attractive on the palate with succulent fruit flavours and elegant weight, beautifully supported by silky texture and polished tannins, making the wine immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2020. Score - 90 (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, July 2019) Price $ 22.95
