UPDATE: The remarkable BEST BUY Chardonnay will be reduced to only $21.35 on Monday, June 1st. Bight pale straw colour. Very attractive, slightly spicy, toasty, intense, fresh, ripe lemon-pear meringue nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, tangy, intense, ripe, lemon-apple-pear meringue flavours with a lingering, toasty, well structured, very fresh, fairly extracty finish. Whole-bunch pressed to French oak (25% new) for wild fermentation, all components lees stirred through a 9-month maturation with no malolactic fermentation and hence the high 8.2 g/L total acidity. Has a modest 12,5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L9007 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. One of 23 items that has not appeared in Vintages before. |
