UPDATE: The remarkable BEST BUY Chardonnay will be reduced to only $21.35 on Monday, June 1st. Bight pale straw colour. Very attractive, slightly spicy, toasty, intense, fresh, ripe lemon-pear meringue nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, tangy, intense, ripe, lemon-apple-pear meringue flavours with a lingering, toasty, well structured, very fresh, fairly extracty finish. Whole-bunch pressed to French oak (25% new) for wild fermentation, all components lees stirred through a 9-month maturation with no malolactic fermentation and hence the high 8.2 g/L total acidity. Has a modest 12,5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L9007 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. One of 23 items that has not appeared in Vintages before. CSPC 12653

TASTING NOTE: Predominantly Gingin clone from Wallcliffe, Wilyabrup, Treeton and Karridale, whole-bunch pressed to barrel (20% new) for wild fermentation, all components stirred through a 9-month maturation.
