Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
TRIVENTO |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, faintly dusty, ripe, plummy, black cherry nose with some cedary mocha-choclolate notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, intense, ripe plum and black cherry flavours with hints of cassis followed by a lingering, cedary, high acid finish. This exceptional Malbec has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L392751-3 2019/02/28 on the back label. Better than the 2015 that last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on September 15, 2018 at $19.95 and was Recommended. |

TASTING NOTE: Rich and refined, showing good power to the dark plum, cherry and blackberry flavors. Espresso and dark chocolate notes carry through to the firmly tannic finish. Drink now through 2022. Score - 89 (Kim Marcus, winespectator.com, Oct. 15, 2018) |
