TASTING NOTE: Crafted from the classic Champagne blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Both were hand- harvested, the Pinot coming from sites planted at 320 metres altitude and the Chardonnay from vines at between 100 and 200 metres. This is rich and solid with beautifully articulated red berry and fruit tones and evocative autolytic notes of bread and yeast. Textured and long, and impressive in all ways. Try with spiced chicken thighs, roasted pork loin or charred shrimp. (Vintages panel, June 2018) |
