THE PALM BY WHISPERING ANGEL 2017 AC Côteaux d'Aix-en-Provence |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CAVES D'ESCLANS |
Pale bright day-glo salmon pink colour. Spicy, slightly baked plum-apple nose. Seemingly off dry, medium-light bodied, spicy, leesy, plum-apple flavours with a tangy apple peel finish. Inside the tacky The Palm labeled bottle is an entry-level style that sadly has nothing to do with iconic recommended classic Whispering Angel rose. This blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah as 12.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: This blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah comes from one of the great icons of rosé. Aromatic and inviting on the nose, this effortlessly breathes Provence. Lithe and complex with great verve and energy throughout, this zesty, mouthwatering rosé will be a fine match with grilled salmon or veal, but has the range to work with summer salads or simply serve as a refreshing sipper.
