TASTING NOTE: This wine's name is a nod to (or a jab at) Pinot Noir for being a real, ahem, challenge to grow and vinify. Nonetheless, the 2016 is a gorgeous Pinot evoking cherrywood smoke, raspberry, cherry, earth and spice. There's an easy elegance here, and plenty of character. Pair with smoked duck and local mushrooms. (Vintages panel, May 2018) |
