Very deep intense purple colour. Gently complex, somewhat cedary, spicy, fairly peppery, baked plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry flavours with a gently cedary, fairly high acid, somewhat herbal finish. Tasted twice with some bottle variation. This blend of 40% Touriga Franca, 40% Tinta Roriz and 20% Touriga Nacional has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. . The 2010 (-/*) was released on May 13, 2017 at $13.95. TONY ASPLER / 87-points - Spicy, oaky, smoky, clove nose; medium-bodied, red plum flavour with oak sitting on top; not well integrated but juicy plum flavour and a somewhat short finish. |
