13TH STREET |
Bright light straw colour. Spicy, slightly honeyed, baked apple nose with some faint lychee notes. Fairly dry, light bodied, spicy, lemon-melon-apple-lychee flavours with an unoaked, tangy finish. This neophyte crowd-pleaser is a blend of 70% Riesling and 30% Viognier. It has 11.5% alcohol and 16 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. Try with spicy Thai cuisine. The 2015 (*+) was released on October 14, 2017 at $15.95. |

TASTING NOTE: A blend of 70% Riesling and 30% Viognier, each harvested and fermented separately in stainless steel. Balanced and crisp with vibrant apple, lime, peach and mineral, with a honey-citrus undertone and a lovely texture, thanks to the Viognier. Ripe, juicy and refreshing. Just great, especially chilled as a sipper or paired with grilled seafood or pork loin. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2017) |
