ALAMOS SELECCIÓN MALBEC 2014 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ALAMOS
Fairly deep purple colour. Fairly intense, spicy, juicy, black cherry puree nose with some gentle cedar notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, juicy, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, tangy, fairly high acid, cedary finish. Quite ready-to-drink. This REPEAT now has 13.8% alcohol (vs 14% for the previous shipment) and 4 g/L residual sugar. This crowd-pleasing, ready-to-drink new batch is better than the recommended 2014 (**/**+) with 88-points that was last released on November 11, 2017 at $16.95. You can safely ignore the dated, recycled, excessively high 92-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. CSPC 322800
