SAUVIGNON BLANC 2016 VQA Niagara Peninsula |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LAKEVIEW CELLARS |
Bright extremely pale straw colour. Unfortunately, the H2S (rotten egg smell) overwhelms the nose which has some grassy notes. It is better in the palate! Dry, light bodied, tangy, faintly sweet and sour, lemon-apple flavours with a grassy finish. Has 12.5% alcohol and a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: Lakeview has been a big name in Ontario wine since 1991. This bright, crisp Sauvignon Blanc serves up apple, lime, grapefruit and grassy notes and will go nicely with fish tacos, or snap peas stuffed with cream cheese and herbs. (Vintages panel, Oct. 2017) |
