TASTING NOTE: This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Pinot Noir, fermented and aged separately. The components spent 18-24 months in a mix of French and American barrels. This is a vibrant red, clearly cool-climate in its lithe character, featuring expressive dark fruit and crushed berries with spice and wood notes. Firm tannins provide an impressive framework, and the food-friendly acidity promises excellent versatility at the table. Pair with grilled ribs, lamb burgers or a full-fledged roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. (Vintages panel, Aug. 2017) |
