Fairly deep ruby colour. Complex, fairly intense, spicy, gently cedary, somewhat dusty, ripe plum-cherry nose. Dry, medium bodied, very bright, somewhat tangy, still fresh, ripe plum-cherry-cranberry flavours with a lingering, high acid, gently cedary finish. Very well priced and quite ready-to-drink. Has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. TASTING NOTE: Here's a stunning value in local Pinot Noir. It's approachably styled, with vibrant raspberry and strawberry fruit and a touch of allspice on the finish. Sip with a salad of roasted beets and wild mushrooms. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2017) |
