Medium deep red colour. Seems very faintly sweetish, stewed plum-cherry nose with some slightly reductive, very spicy, tandoori chicken notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, spicy, tangy, cherry-cranberry-apple flavours with a gently cedary, high acid, thin, reedy-minty, red licorice-tinged finish. Ready-to-drink. Tasted from three bottles, one of which had mercaptan rubber hose issues. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: I like the berry and tea leaf character here with hints of incense. Medium body, firm and lightly chewy tannins and a fresh finish. Always excellent. Drink now. Score - 93 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, May 29, 2017) |
