Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
KTIMA PAVLIDIS |
Bright light yellow colour. Intense, slightly spicy, ripe lemon-melon nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied albeit quite well structured, slightly spicy, ripe lemon-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, very crisp, unoaked finish that has a faint hint of bitterness. Best with seafood and especially oysters. This admirable blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Assyrtoko has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L/5015 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points / TRY - Grassy, minerally, citrus nose with a note of dried white blossoms; medium-bodied, spicy Muscat and green plum flavours. The recommended 2009 (**) was released on October 2, 2010 at $17.95. |

TASTING NOTE: This blend starts with panache, offering aromas of vanilla cream, lemon, banana and crushed herbs. On the palate, it balances brisk acidity with alluring citrus and melon fruit flavors. The wine has a spicy spin that gives it extra spunk. Ranked #90 on the 2016 Wine Enthusiast Top 100. Score - 92 (Susan Kostrzewa, Wine Enthusiast, Aug. 1, 2016) |
