IL GRIGIO GRAN SELEZIONE CHIANTI CLASSICO 2013 DOCG |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
SAN FELICE |
Very deep intense purple colour. Quite intense, fairly complex, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with lots of cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, fairly dense, quite well structured, harmonious, intense, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, high acid finish. This 2013 has great character and will wow anyone looking for a special Chianti Classico. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: Smooth and delicious, this boasts enticing scents of violet, berry, leather, tilled soil and aromatic herb. The radiant, elegant palate offers ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, white pepper and licorice, while a note of pipe tobacco closes the finish. Polished tannins and bright acidity provide balance and structure. Drink 2018-2025. Editors' Choice. Score - 95 (Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, March 1, 2017) |
