Very deep intense dark purple colour. Intense, spicy, well structured, plum nose with some baked ripe plum notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, rather herbal, plum flavours with a slightly cedary finish. Quite ready-to-drink. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L15147 on the back label. Screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 87-points - Cedary, blackcurrant nose; medium-bodied, dry, blackcurrant flavour with lively acidity; firmly structured with evident tannins. TASTING NOTE: Eight blocks harvested over 2 weeks, matured in French oak (20% new) for 12 months. A full-bodied cabernet with deep colour and robust mouthfeel; while the tannins are balanced, they need to soften, but there's enough blackcurrant fruit to wait however long the process takes.
