QUINTA DAS CARVALHAS |
Ambering medium brick red colour. Intense, slightly spicy, sweet, honeyed, plummy, Seville orange marmalade nose with some caramel notes. Very sweet, medium bodied, spicy, honeyed, figgy, caramel-tinged, Seville orange marmalade flavours with a lingering finish. OK but not a detour at the price. |

TASTING NOTE: Refined and richly spicy, offering luxuriantly creamy flavors of dried apricot, dried meat, roasted plum and butterscotch. The suave finish is long and rich, with vibrant minerality. Drink now. Score - 92 (Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator, Aug. 31, 2016) |
