Gold Medal winner at Mundus Vini 2017. TASTING NOTE: This blend of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto was hand-picked from vines grown at altitudes between 250 and 500 metres on the slopes of Mount Olympus. It offers complex aromas of blueberry, date, fig, leather, incense and smoke. On the palate, tangy acidity brings redcurrant and pomegranate notes on the way to a chewy, lightly smoky finish. Enjoy the wine now through 2022 with strong cheeses, or a stew of browned ground beef or lamb with eggplant, tomato and roasted garlic. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2017) |
