CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2015 Columbia Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHATEAU STE. MICHELLE
Very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, somewhat cedary, juicy, ripe cherry-plum puree nose with some faint Mer lot-inspired, sandalwood-licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied, tangy, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid, faintly tropical fruit cocktail-licorice finish. This REPEAT has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number 170510 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Better than the 2015 (**) last released on July 8, 2017 at $20.95. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Spicy, cedary, black plum nose; medium to full-bodied, dry, earthy, plum flavour with lively acidity and a firm finish. CSPC 269357

TASTING NOTE: Rich and plummy, beautifully rounded and very satisfying. The tannins are silky and the wine is ready to enjoy but is not without pleasant grip. Harmonious, and offering excellent concentration. Complex and ethereal in texture. All is in balance and the wine demonstrates very good typicity. Recommended. Tasted June 2017.
