GUADO AL TASSO 2014 DOC Bolgheri Superiore |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
ANTINORI |
Very deep intense purple colour. Attractive, intense, very spicy, warm ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some cedary sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, fairly extracty, well structured, harmonious, plummy, warm red cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, cedar-tinged finish that shows good persistence. This new 14% alcohol blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, 18% and Cabernet Franc has no Petit Verdot with lot number L6203 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / -points / TRY - Dense purple colour; cedary, blackcurrant nose with a vanilla oak note; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, beautifully balanced. A magnificent blend that expresses the Bordeaux varieties in an Italianate style. |
