TASTING NOTE: This dark violet-red wine has a nose of blackberry and rose petal. Full on the palate, it offers flavors of black cherry, cranberry, chocolate and a touch of smoke. There is a pervading sense of brightness throughout, although sneaky tannins provide for a hint of chalkiness on the finish. Score - 88 (Mike DeSimone, Wine Enthusiast, Aug. 1, 2017) |
