TASTING NOTE: Estate-grown, fermented in 150yo open wooden vats then matured for 18 months in French oak (20% new). Has the same fruit freshness as its Shiraz sibling, starting with the colour and finishing with bright acidity. Will be deceptively long lived, the modest alcohol a boon. Gold medal Queensland Wine Show '16. Drink By: 2034. Special Value. Score - 94 (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 1, 2017) |
