Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
ERADUS |
Bright very pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, beeswax nose with some grassy, yellow grapefruit notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, tangy, spicy, somewhat diluted, yellow grapefruit flavours with a lingering, grassy, unoaked finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. with a screwcap closure. Not up to the recommended 2015 (**/**+) that was released on March 18, 2017 at $18.95. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points - Grassy, green plum on the nose; medium-bodied, dry, fresh and lively acidity but lacks the concentration of the 2015 and comes across as a little dilute. |

TASTING NOTE: Excellent pale straw colour. Nose showing a lot of complexity with aromas of cut grass and minerals and hints of tropical fruit. Palate showing a wonderful savoury complexity that pairs well with food. Score - Gold Medal (Dr. Ken Dobler, Sydney International Wine Competition, 2017) |
