Bright medium deep straw colour. Very spicy, dried apple nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, somewhat tart, dusty, lemon-apple flavours with a very crisp unoaked finish. This blend of 70% Riesling and 30% Chardonnay was made in the \"ripasso\" style meaning that the Riesling “was re-passed and aged on the skins and lees of the appassimento Riesling.” Has 11.8% alcohol and 17 g/L residual sugar (formerly 23 g/L residual sugar) with a screwcap closure. A REPEAT of the 2015 (not presented) that was released on June 24, 2017 at $17.95. TONY ASPLER / 86.5-points - Spicy, petrol and peach puree nose; medium-bodied, dry, green peach and melon flavours with lively acidity. |

TASTING NOTE: An enchanting blend of 70% Riesling and 30% Chardonnay made in the \"ripasso\" style famous in Veneto, Italy, this flavourful, bistro-style beauty offers notions of zesty lime, apple and apricot on the way to a long, vibrant finish. Great value. Lightly chill and sip on its own or pair with butternut-squash-and-bacon risotto. (Vintages panel, June 2017) |
