TASTING NOTE: Initial tone is confused, of a fruit disorder, a bit of unsaturated hydrocarbon radical that quickly blows off and then the real fruit expression divides and conquers the chemistry. Dark black raspberry mainly, then turning to coulis on a silky smooth palate. Something of a big and ponderous style of pinot noir is in the house and with a wide range of possibility here. But first you need to gather your wits and move past the initial grab, then proceed to fight off the tannic, ferric, and hematic waves. Prepare yourself for all of the above. Settle in and be patient for the reward will be huge and beautiful. Drink 2019-2025. Tasted blind at #NWAC17, June 2017. Score - 92 (Michael Godel, winealign.com, July 17, 2017) |
