TASTING NOTE: This Pinot is sourced from three valleys: the Umpqua, Willamette and Rogue. The 2015 growing season was warm and dry and produced superb fruit. Especially important to note for Oregon, where vintages can be quite variable. The grapes ripened so well that much of the fruit was harvested 3-5 weeks earlier than usual. The 2015 Elouan is richly textured and flush with red fruit alongside light toast, mocha and vanilla. An impressive wine with good structure and length. (Vintages panel, Feb. 2017) |
