Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, intense, very cedary, black currant-cherry-plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, intense, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, high acid, slightly herbal, surprisingly cedary finish. This blend of 88% Grenache and 12% Mourvèdre has 14.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L16057 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / TRY - Dense purple-black in colour; earthy-cedary nose of black fruits; medium to full-bodied, dry, herbal, blackberry flavour. |

TASTING NOTE: Solidly built, with a juicy core of blackberry and plum paste flavors that pump along, carried by lively, brambly grip. The back end picks up licorice snap and dark tea notes, with the fruit pushing through pleasantly. Approachable, but should be better with a bit of cellaring. Grenache and Mourvèdre. Best from 2017 through 2024. Score - 91 (James Molesworth, winespectator.com, Oct. 31, 2016) |
