The Sydney International Wine Competition judges 2,000 wines. Approximately 200 finalists are then judged with food, and the top-showing wines earn the Blue Gold award. The 2015 Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz was rated as one of the top 100 wines of the 2017 competition. TASTING NOTE: Lovely blackberry nose that follows through on palate. Great concentration of fruit. Hints of chocolate and mulberry coming through. Balance tannins and lovely long silky palate. Well matched with the veal, lovely fruit driven and seamless.
