TASTING NOTE: This is the first edition of Iconoclast to steer the route of white Bordeaux, with 74% barrel fermented (in old barrels) semillon. The semillon comes from the Fruit Haven Farms vineyard. It works very nicely indeed. The nose is calm, complex and intriguing with subtle oak spice, guava, herbs and lime. It's mid-weight, quite elegant, rich yet lively. Nice sense of composure and balance here. Very good to excellent length. Nicely done and good value. Score - 90 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, April 20, 2017) |
