Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, expansive, complex, slightly spicy, mature, ripe plum puree nose with some very faintly bitter, cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, bright, gently complex, ripe plum flavours with a fairly intense, gently cedary finish. Has 14% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number LR14SH175 under the new back label. The recommended best buy 2013 (***) with 90-points was released on October 29, 2016 at $19.95. CSPC 399246

TASTING NOTE: Founded in 1682, Rustenberg first planted Shiraz in the late 1990s on the west-facing slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. Their 2014 is a spicy, complex, layered, fruit-driven and vibrant wine with great structure and freshness. A great wine for lamb burgers or barbecued ribs. (Vintages panel, June 2016) Price $ 19.95
