COW'S CORNER GRENACHE/SHIRAZ/MATARO 2015 Barossa, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SISTER'S RUN
Fairly deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, very juicy, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some cedary notes. Just off dry, medium bodied, spicy, tangy, very ripe cherry-plum puree flavours with a fairly high acid, cedary finish. Screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER: 87.5 - Deep purple colour, fruity, jammy raspberry and plum nose; fruity raspberry-plum flavours on the medium-bodied palate with balancing acidity. Some sweetness here, a real crowd pleaser. This new blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Shiraz and 5% Mourvedre has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar is a ready-to-drink crowd-pleaser. If you're not up on your Aussie slang, you could be forgiven for thinking the name \"Cow's Corner\" sounds like a bovine lifestyle talk show, but it's actually a sporty reference to a part of the cricket field (so called because it's where an \"agricultural shot\" is aimed). This big, bold earthy GSM blend will pair, appropriately enough, with beef burgers, though it'll also go nicely with grilled pork sausages. Price $ 16.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - August 19, 2017
