Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CHATEAU STE. MICHELLE |
Deep intense purple colour. Spicy, somewhat cedary, juicy, ripe cherry-plum puree nose with some sandalwood-licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied, tangy, juicy, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid, tropical fruit cocktail finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number 170213 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Unfortunately, not at all up to the excellent recommended 2014 (**+) with 89-points that was released on December 10, 2016 at $21.95. |
