Extremely deep intense purple colour. Attractive, juicy, spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some cedary, slightly smoky, mocha-chocolate notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, intense, very ripe, rich, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, very faintly herbal, intense, mocha-chocolate-sandalwood finish. This ready-to-drink blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TASTING NOTE: A muscular but polished red, with brooding blackberry pie, dark cherry and roasted plum notes complemented by iron, peppercorn and licorice details. Full but not overpowering tannins linger on the savory, herb tinged finish. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2022. Ranked #57 in the 2016 Wine Spectator Top 100.
