Bright medium straw colour. Fairly intense, ripe, lemon meringue nose with some toasty notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, still fairly crisp finish. Has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / TRY - Spicy, toasty nose of apples; medium-bodied, dry, apple flavour with a soft mid-palatere, rescued by a final burst of acidity and a nutty finish. David Lawrason also awarded this wine 90 points (winealign.com, Feb. 25, 2017). TASTING NOTE: Such a nice wine at a delicious price point, look for a nose of bright apple, creamy pear and a smidge of peach, smoky/leesy notes and integrated oak spice. Shows elegance on the palate with creamy orchard fruits, seamless spice and a juicy, finessed finish. Score - 90 (Rick VanSickle, winesinniagara.com, Feb. 6, 2017) |
