THE LANDINGS |
Bright extremely pale straw colour. Spicy, grassy, lemon-apple nose with some resiny notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, quite fleshy, spicy, gently grassy, ripe apple-lemon-melon flavours with a lingering, crisp, mineral-tinged, unoaked finish. This is not from McLaren Vale (as per Vintages Catalogue) but from the Adelaide Hills. Has 12.9% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: The Landings Map Series references the Gallipoli campaign of WWI, in which Australian troops played a principal role. This is a crisp and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with layered fruit and grass tones. It has impressive varietal character and offers great value. Enjoy with grilled fish. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016) |
